Job Description
We are looking for a Cost Manager to join a major development project in NEOM. We are looking for a professional who has solid experience in construction cost management, project budgeting, and cost control, and who can help ensure that project expenses are well managed throughout every stage of the project.
As a Cost Manager, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to monitor project costs, review budgets, and provide clear financial insights. Your role will help the project stay financially organized while maintaining efficiency and high project standards.
This position is well suited for professionals who have worked on large construction or infrastructure projects and understand the importance of accurate budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
About the Role
The Cost Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring project costs from the planning phase until project completion. Your main goal will be to make sure the project stays within the approved budget while maintaining efficiency and quality.
You will review project expenses, prepare cost reports, analyze financial data, and help project teams make informed financial decisions. The role also involves identifying potential cost risks and suggesting practical solutions that can help improve cost efficiency.
Working in this position means collaborating with different departments including engineering, procurement, finance, and project management, ensuring that financial planning supports the overall progress of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review project budgets and cost estimates
- Monitor project expenses to ensure costs remain within the approved budget
- Analyze financial data and prepare cost management reports
- Identify cost risks and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Work with project teams to support financial planning and cost control
- Review contracts, variations, and procurement expenses
- Maintain accurate documentation for cost tracking and reporting
- Support project managers with financial analysis and forecasting
Daily Tasks
In this role, your day-to-day work may include:
- Reviewing project spending and financial records
- Preparing reports related to project cost performance
- Monitoring budgets and updating cost forecasts
- Communicating with project teams about cost updates
- Supporting teams in improving financial efficiency
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should have:
- At least 10 years of experience in cost management or cost control
- Strong experience in construction project budgeting and financial analysis
- Good understanding of project cost monitoring and contract management
- Experience working on large construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
