A leading aviation and air services organization in Dubai is looking for a Junior Maintenance Technician – Fabricationto support its technical maintenance operations.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced technicians to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, repairs, and workshop-related activities. The role involves working with vehicles, ground support equipment, facility systems, and other operational equipment while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with daily maintenance, repair, servicing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of vehicles, equipment, machinery, and workshop systems.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical, electrical, or other operational issues.
• Assist with repairs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain operational readiness.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders, and shift log entries accurately.
• Follow established safety procedures and ensure tools and work areas are kept in good condition.
• Help identify required spare parts, tools, and materials for maintenance jobs.
• Support scheduled inspections and maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines and applicable safety requirements.
• Assist with ULD repair and assembly activities according to approved procedures and aviation standards.
• Support maintenance and repair work involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facility systems.
• Assist technicians with the maintenance of Ground Power Units (GPU), Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) systems, generators, and related equipment.
• Carry out other workshop and maintenance duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Candidates should ideally have:

• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, automotive, electrical, or mechanical work.
• A 2-year technical/trade qualification in engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience within a structured maintenance environment is preferred.
• Experience with aviation ground support equipment, cargo-handling equipment, heavy vehicles, or similar machinery will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, automotive, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, lifting equipment, conveyor systems, PLCs, motor controls, batteries, or charging systems will be an added advantage.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• A UAE driving licence or valid home-country driving licence may be required depending on the work area.
• Relevant equipment-operation certification/licensing will be an advantage.
• Good awareness of workplace safety procedures and applicable aviation maintenance standards.
