Full-Time Planning Engineer Opportunity | Infrastructure and Mega Project Experience Required
Job Description
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Planning Engineer who enjoys turning complex construction plans into clear, achievable timelines. This role suits someone who is hands-on with Primavera P6, confident in project scheduling and reporting, and comfortable working closely with site teams to keep projects moving forward—especially within the Saudi Arabia (KSA) construction market.

What You’ll Be Doing
Planning & Scheduling
You’ll take the lead in building and managing detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. This includes structuring activities, identifying dependencies, and keeping a close eye on critical paths. You’ll also prepare short-term lookahead plans to help site teams stay aligned with upcoming work.
Working Closely with Site Teams
This isn’t just a desk role. You’ll regularly connect with engineers and site teams to track real progress against planned timelines. Your input will help ensure that what’s happening on-site matches the schedule—and if it doesn’t, you’ll help figure out why.
Keeping Projects on Track
Delays happen, but how they’re handled makes the difference. You’ll identify risks early, carry out delay analysis, and work with the team to build recovery plans that bring projects back on schedule.
Tendering & Cost Awareness
You’ll also be involved in preparing tenders—reviewing BOQs, supporting cost estimates, and making sure everything is both accurate and competitive. Your understanding of market rates in Saudi Arabia will be important here.
Monitoring Performance
From S-curves to manpower histograms, you’ll turn project data into meaningful insights. Your reports will help management clearly understand where things stand—what’s going well, and what needs attention.
Clear Communication
You’ll regularly share updates with stakeholders, making sure everyone—from site teams to senior management—has a clear picture of progress, risks, and next steps.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 7 to 20 years of experience in construction planning
- At least 5 years of experience working in Saudi Arabia (KSA)
- Strong hands-on skills in Primavera P6 and MS Excel
- Good understanding of tendering, BOQs, and construction workflows
- Someone who can guide teams, solve problems, and keep deadlines on track
- Fluent in English; knowing Arabic will definitely help in day-to-day coordination
