Job Description
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Safety Officer to join our team at a silica manufacturing facility in Al Kharj. If you have a solid background in industrial safety, HSE practices, and occupational health, and you’re confident handling environments where dust control and worker safety are critical, this could be a great fit for you.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping day-to-day operations safe, making sure all safety standards are followed, and helping create a workplace where everyone understands and values safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Putting HSE policies into action and making sure they’re followed across the factory
- Keeping a close eye on silica dust levels and ensuring proper control measures are in place
- Carrying out regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
- Making sure all work complies with Saudi regulations and company safety standards
- Managing the Permit to Work (PTW) system for different types of jobs
- Looking into incidents or near misses and preparing clear reports with practical solutions
- Leading toolbox talks and safety training sessions for workers
- Ensuring proper use of PPE, especially respiratory protection
- Maintaining safety records and documentation
- Supporting emergency preparedness, including drills and fire safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing safety
- Experience in silica, cement, construction, or similar industries is a strong advantage
- A valid and transferable Iqama is required
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification is a must
- Saudi Aramco approval is a plus (or required if applicable)
- Good understanding of dust hazards and occupational health risks
- Familiarity with safety standards like ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 is beneficial
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced industrial setting
