Job Description
We are looking for a committed and experienced HSE Officer to join a project-based assignment in the industrial safety and petrochemical sector. If you have a strong eye for safety, enjoy working on-site, and can take ownership of HSE responsibilities, this role offers a solid opportunity to be part of a professional project environment.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for all safety-related matters on-site. Your main focus will be to ensure that every activity is carried out safely, risks are minimized, and all workers follow proper procedures.
You’ll be actively involved in daily operations, working closely with engineers, supervisors, and workers to maintain a safe and compliant work environment at all times.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitoring daily site activities to ensure full compliance with HSE standards
- Identifying hazards and conducting risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) before work begins
- Performing routine site inspections, safety audits, and compliance checks
- Ensuring all work aligns with petrochemical safety requirements and company guidelines
- Delivering toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions
- Checking and enforcing proper use of PPE at all times
- Managing permit-to-work (PTW) systems, including hot work, lifting, and confined space entries
- Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and preparing detailed reports with corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate HSE records, logs, and documentation
- Supporting emergency response plans and participating in drills and safety exercises
- Coordinating with teams to ensure safe execution of all site operations
- Encouraging a proactive and zero-incident safety culture

What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2–5+ years of experience in industrial, construction, or petrochemical safety roles
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard control, and HSE procedures
- Hands-on experience with permit systems and site safety supervision
- Familiarity with international safety standards (OSHA, NEBOSH guidelines, etc.)
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to handle site challenges confidently and professionally
- Ready for immediate joining
