Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in retail accounting, inventory management, and POS operations and is looking to grow their career with a dynamic organization.
As an Accountant, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing inventory-related transactions, reconciling sales data, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will work closely with different departments to ensure that financial information is accurate, inventory records are up to date, and business operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and record daily financial transactions accurately.
- Manage bookkeeping activities and ensure financial records are updated on time.
- Reconcile daily sales reports and verify transactions generated through POS systems.
- Monitor inventory movements, stock levels, and inventory adjustments.
- Assist with stock valuation, inventory reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Review supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports and provide data to management when required.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in sales, inventory, or accounting records.
- Coordinate with retail and operations teams to maintain accurate stock and financial information.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and accounting standards.
- Support internal audits and financial reviews as needed.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of experience working in a retail business environment.
- Strong understanding of retail accounting principles and financial processes.
- Practical knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience working with POS systems and generating sales reports.
- Ability to read and understand Arabic, particularly for invoices, vendor documentation, and government-related portals.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
