About the Position
As a BMS Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of Building Management Systems. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, project teams, and clients to ensure that systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project requirements.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in BMS software, graphics development, automation controls, system integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. Experience with the Niagara Framework will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of Building Management Systems.
- Configure, program, and maintain BMS software and controllers.
- Develop and update system graphics, dashboards, alarms, and monitoring interfaces.
- Monitor the performance of HVAC systems, chillers, ventilation systems, lighting controls, and energy management systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and facility teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Perform system testing, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
- Ensure all systems operate in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, technical reports, and commissioning documentation.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a BMS Supervisor, BMS Engineer, or Building Automation Professional.
- Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems and HVAC Control Systems.
- Experience in BMS programming, graphics development, system integration, and commissioning.
- Understanding of automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and other industry-standard communication systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
