Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join our team for an ongoing steel structure project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who have gained hands-on experience in construction projects and are looking to further develop their careers in a dynamic and professional environment.
The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience in steel structure projects and a solid understanding of structural steel works, foundations, anchor bolt installation, concrete works, and site supervision. You will be involved in various stages of the project, working closely with engineers, contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure that construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
About the Position
As a Civil Engineer, you will play an important role in overseeing day-to-day site activities, reviewing engineering drawings, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring that all work is carried out in line with approved specifications and quality standards.
This role requires a proactive individual who can coordinate effectively with different departments, solve site-related challenges, and contribute to the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on site.
- Review civil and structural drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Oversee foundation works, anchor bolt installation, concrete activities, and steel structure erection.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Ensure construction activities are completed according to approved drawings and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report on project progress.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
- Maintain project documentation and prepare progress reports when required.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and site safety requirements.
- Support project completion, inspections, and handover activities.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in steel structure construction projects.
- Good knowledge of steel structures, foundations, anchor bolts, concrete works, and structural steel erection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
- Experience supervising site activities and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and construction safety standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
