About the Role
As a Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for guiding construction projects from the early planning stage to final completion. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Prepare and manage project plans, schedules, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress
- Oversee construction activities from site preparation to project completion
- Ensure that project objectives and deliverables are achieved successfully
Budget and Cost Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost estimates
- Monitor project expenses and ensure the project stays within the approved budget
- Look for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs
Schedule Management
- Develop and maintain project timelines and construction schedules
- Track project progress and address any delays or issues
- Ensure that work is completed according to the planned schedule
Quality Control
- Ensure construction work meets required quality standards and engineering specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
- Address and resolve any construction quality concerns
Communication and Reporting
- Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, engineers, and project teams
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to management and stakeholders
- Ensure all team members are aligned with project goals and timelines
Risk Management
- Identify potential project risks and construction challenges
- Develop practical solutions to prevent delays or disruptions
- Address problems quickly to keep the project moving forward
Safety Management
- Ensure all work is carried out according to construction safety regulations
- Promote a safe working environment for all personnel on site
- Monitor safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Previous experience managing civil construction projects
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Good understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and cost management
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and construction plans
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
