About the Role
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and industrial equipment. You will work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently and production interruptions are kept to a minimum.
This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and equipment failures
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Inspect electrical components and identify potential issues
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Maintain motors, control panels, switchgear, and electrical distribution systems
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance procedures
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize operational downtime
- Maintain maintenance records and report completed work activities
Requirements
- Technical qualification, diploma, ITI, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
- Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Technician preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Experience with motors, control panels, and power distribution systems
- Ability to identify and resolve electrical faults efficiently
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
