Full-Time Hiring Safety Engineer in Bahrain | Construction HSE Engineer Opportunity

About the Role
As our Safety Engineer, you’ll be responsible for overseeing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities across construction sites. You’ll work closely with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site teams to make sure all work is carried out safely and in line with local laws and international standards.
You’ll be actively involved in inspections, training, reporting, and daily site monitoring — helping to prevent incidents and promote a strong safety culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Making sure all construction activities follow HSE rules and safety standards
- Carrying out regular and surprise site inspections and safety checks
- Identifying unsafe conditions and following up until issues are resolved
- Supporting contractors and subcontractors to meet approved HSE plans and procedures
- Preparing clear inspection reports and corrective action updates
- Organizing toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency drills
- Delivering safety awareness sessions for workers and supervisors
- Keeping HSE records such as incident reports, training logs, PPE registers, and compliance documents
- Checking tools, machinery, lifting equipment, scaffolding, and access systems
- Ensuring all equipment is inspected, certified, and maintained properly
- Maintaining inspection and certification records
- Monitoring subcontractor workforce activities on site
- Coordinating with site security teams to ensure everyone follows safety rules
- Taking part in joint safety and security inspections
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or similar HSE certification (preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Safety Engineer or HSE Engineer on construction projects
- Client-side or consultancy experience is a plus
- Good knowledge of Bahrain safety regulations and environmental requirements
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Comfortable working with contractors and multidisciplinary site teams
- Well-organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
