About the Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of building systems and infrastructure. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinate with various stakeholders, and implement engineering solutions that improve operational performance and reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Monitor and control building systems using Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Ensure efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct inspections and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to execute maintenance projects and facility upgrades.
- Prepare maintenance reports, technical documentation, and engineering analyses.
- Ensure compliance with US and Aramco Codes, Standards, Specifications, and local building regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend best practices for facility operations.
Preferred Technical Skills
Building Management Systems (BMS)
Experience in monitoring and controlling building systems through BMS platforms to ensure optimal operational performance.
HVAC Systems
Strong understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including system design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Mechanical Equipment
Hands-on experience with pumps, fans, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and other mechanical systems commonly used in commercial and industrial facilities.
Utility Systems
Knowledge of water distribution systems, drainage networks, gas systems, piping materials, and system sizing.
Electrical Systems
Understanding of electrical distribution, lighting systems, power systems, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
Energy Management
Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable facility management practices that improve building performance and reduce operating costs.
Engineering Software
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software for reviewing, creating, and modifying engineering designs and building layouts.
