About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for keeping critical plant equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure everything functions smoothly, especially during high-demand situations like shutdowns and start-ups.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out maintenance activities for key equipment such as turbines, pumps, compressors, boilers, heat exchangers, and storage tanks
- Diagnosing faults and resolving issues in both mechanical and instrumentation systems
- Supporting plant start-ups, shutdowns, and major maintenance activities (TAR)
- Performing calibration and servicing of field instruments like control valves, transmitters, and gas detectors
- Preparing and managing spare parts lists, Bill of Materials (BOM), and inventory planning
- Reviewing technical documents including P&IDs, drawings, and vendor manuals to ensure accuracy
- Coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers to gather missing or updated technical data
- Using SAP systems for maintenance planning and materials tracking
- Checking vendor data to avoid duplication and ensure accuracy in spare parts
- Organizing and updating equipment records, including tag numbers and classifications
- Supporting project teams with proper documentation of newly installed equipment
- Taking part in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Preparing regular reports to track maintenance progress and performance
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery environments
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and plant maintenance practices
- Familiarity with turbines, pumps, and compressors will be a strong advantage
- Understanding of ISO standards (ISO 14224, ISO 55000 series)
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Exposure to shutdown planning or reliability programs is a plus
