We’re currently looking to hire a responsible and experienced Storekeeper to join our steel fabrication and engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who understands how important proper material control is to workshop productivity and project timelines.
If you’ve worked in a steel fabrication company before and are confident managing materials, tools, and stock records, this could be a great opportunity for you.
About the Role
As our Storekeeper, you’ll take full responsibility for daily store operations. From receiving materials to issuing them to the workshop team, your role will ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
You’ll work closely with procurement, supervisors, and management to make sure materials are available when needed, properly recorded, and safely stored.
This position suits someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable handling responsibility independently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Receiving and checking incoming steel materials and fabrication supplies
- Managing the issue of materials to workshop teams
- Keeping accurate records of steel plates, beams, pipes, welding rods, electrodes, fasteners, tools, and equipment
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages on time
- Conducting regular physical stock checks
- Preparing daily and monthly material reports
- Updating inventory records using Microsoft Excel
- Coordinating with the procurement team for material replenishment
- Ensuring proper storage, labeling, and safe handling of materials
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization inside the store area
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Storekeeper in a steel fabrication or engineering company
- Good knowledge of steel materials and welding consumables
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to maintain accurate data and organized records
- Good English communication skills
- Responsible, well-organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to manage daily store operations independently
Preferred
- Experience using inventory or ERP systems
- Background in industrial warehouse operations
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- References from previous employers
