Full-Time IT Network Engineer Vacancy in Bahrain | Cisco Experience Required
Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys working with enterprise network infrastructure, Cisco technologies, server environments, and network security solutions.
As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our organization’s IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining network operations, supporting critical business systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping drive continuous improvements across our technology environment.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, manage, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
- Configure and support Cisco switching and routing environments.
- Manage wired and wireless network connectivity across the organization.
- Monitor network performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure network availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Administer Windows and Linux server environments.
- Manage network security measures, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Support virtualization platforms and server infrastructure.
- Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and backup procedures.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support business operations and technology initiatives.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and business continuity processes.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Requirements
- Cisco certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including switching, routing, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with wireless networking and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Knowledge of network security principles and firewall management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or IT infrastructure support.
- Experience working in enterprise or multi-site environments.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Exposure to cloud technologies and modern infrastructure solutions is an advantage.
- Experience implementing and supporting secure, scalable network environments.
