Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to join our team immediately.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning project concepts into accurate cost plans and has hands-on experience preparing estimates for residential, commercial, hospitality, and corporate fit-out projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and project budgets for woodworks and interior fit-out projects.
- Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand project requirements.
- Carrying out material take-offs and quantity calculations for timber, laminates, veneers, hardware, finishes, and other materials.
- Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost breakdowns, and commercial proposals.
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluating pricing to ensure competitive project costs.
- Assisting with tender submissions, bid preparation, and project costing activities.
- Working closely with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure estimates are technically accurate and commercially viable.
- Monitoring market prices and maintaining updated cost information for materials and services.
- Supporting cost control initiatives and identifying opportunities for value engineering and budget optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Woodworks, Joinery, and Interior Fit-Out Estimation is essential.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, and project cost control.
- Strong understanding of joinery manufacturing processes, wood materials, hardware, finishes, and installation methods.
- Excellent knowledge of material take-offs, BOQs, cost analysis, and tender preparation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
