We’re currently looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Accounting & Financial Services team in Sanai’s, Bahrain. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and providing practical VAT and financial support across different industries.

About the Role
As our Accountant, you’ll manage a portfolio of clients and take care of everything from bookkeeping and VAT returns to financial statements and monthly reports. You’ll work directly with business owners and internal teams to make sure records are accurate, deadlines are met, and clients receive clear financial guidance.
You’ll also help support audits, communicate with tax authorities when needed, and guide junior team members. This is a hands-on, client-focused role where your attention to detail and people skills really matter.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Managing multiple client accounts across different industries
• Handling daily bookkeeping, including receivables, payables, and bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and ensuring full compliance
• Advising clients on VAT rules, exemptions, and best practices
• Preparing financial statements, management accounts, and monthly reports
• Taking care of month-end and year-end closing activities
• Reviewing trial balances and reconciling client ledgers
• Supporting clients during VAT audits and inspections
• Communicating with tax authorities on client matters when required
• Helping with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow reviews
• Mentoring junior accounting staff
• Staying up to date with accounting standards and VAT regulations
• Providing useful financial insights to help clients make better decisions
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in consulting or advisory work
• Strong knowledge of VAT compliance and regulations
• Experience managing multiple client accounts
• Comfortable using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
• Good Excel skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Clear communication and client relationship skills
• Able to work independently and manage deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
