We’re currently looking for an experienced Project Control Engineer to join our Oil & Gas project team on a permanent, long-term basis. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with schedules, budgets, and project data, and who plays a key part in keeping projects organized and on track.
If you have hands-on experience in project planning, progress tracking, and cost control within Oil & Gas or EPC environments, this is a great opportunity to build a stable career on major projects.
About the Role
As a Project Control Engineer, you’ll support project delivery by managing schedules, monitoring costs, and preparing clear progress reports for management. You’ll work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to make sure timelines are followed and any potential issues are identified early.
This position suits someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and baseline programs
- Track project progress and cost performance
- Produce weekly and monthly progress reports
- Support planning, forecasting, and budget control activities
- Monitor project milestones and highlight possible delays
- Collect progress information from site and engineering teams
- Help manage changes, variations, and updates to project plans
- Assist with performance tracking and basic earned value analysis
- Prepare simple dashboards and presentations for management
- Support risk reviews and project meetings
- Make sure reporting systems and project control procedures are followed
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects
- Previous experience working as a Project Control Engineer
- Good understanding of planning, scheduling, and cost control
- Comfortable working with project reporting tools and schedules
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Works well independently and within a team
- Long-term availability preferred
