Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QCI Welding Inspector to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of major industrial and construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting safe and efficient welding operations.
As a QCI Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting welding activities, reviewing quality documentation, monitoring compliance with approved procedures, and working closely with project teams to ensure all work meets the required standards.
About the Role
Quality plays a critical role in every successful project, and as a Welding Inspector, you will be at the heart of ensuring that all welding and fabrication activities are completed correctly and in accordance with industry requirements.
You will work alongside engineers, supervisors, QA/QC professionals, NDT technicians, and client representatives to verify that all welding work is carried out safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Welding Inspection
- Inspect welding activities before, during, and after execution.
- Verify fit-up, joint preparation, alignment, and welding parameters.
- Ensure welding procedures are followed in accordance with approved project requirements.
- Monitor welding workmanship and identify any defects or non-conformities.
- Confirm that qualified welders are performing the assigned work.
- Review welding consumables and ensure proper handling and storage.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all welding activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Review quality control documentation and inspection records.
- Verify material traceability and inspection status throughout project execution.
- Participate in internal quality audits and client inspections.
- Assist in resolving quality-related issues and implementing corrective actions.
NDT Coordination
- Coordinate inspection activities with NDT personnel and third-party inspectors.
- Review radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant, and visual testing reports.
- Verify repair welding activities and ensure re-inspections are completed successfully.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection and testing activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily inspection reports and quality records.
- Maintain organized documentation for project quality files.
- Support final project documentation and handover requirements.
- Ensure inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted on time.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- QCI Welding Inspector Certification.
- CBT (Computer-Based Test) Passed.
- Previous experience in welding inspection and QA/QC activities.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, fabrication practices, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Knowledge of NDT inspection methods
- Familiarity with ASME, AWS, API, and ISO standards
