About the Role
In this position, you’ll be involved from the early costing stage right through to project completion. Your work will directly impact project success by ensuring everything stays on budget, well-planned, and financially controlled.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing cost estimates and budgets based on drawings and project requirements
- Measuring quantities and creating clear, accurate BOQs (Bills of Quantities)
- Reviewing drawings and specifications to understand the full project scope
- Supporting the tendering process and evaluating supplier and subcontractor prices
- Tracking project costs and keeping everything aligned with the approved budget
- Visiting project sites when needed to verify progress and quantities
- Managing variations, claims, and final accounts smoothly
- Working closely with engineers, procurement teams, and project managers
- Helping identify smarter, more cost-effective ways to execute the work
What We’re Looking For
- Practical experience as a Quantity Surveyor in steel fabrication projects
- Good understanding of cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and cost control
- Ability to read and understand technical and fabrication drawings
- Confidence working with Excel and estimation tools
- Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
