Full-Time VAT and ZATCA Experienced Junior Accountant Required in Riyadh
Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are passionate about accounting, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced business environment.
We are seeking a candidate who can contribute to the day-to-day accounting operations while supporting month-end closing activities and ensuring compliance with company procedures and local regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily accounting transactions and journal entries.
- Assist in managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.
- Perform customer and supplier account reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Carry out bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Handle cash invoices, monitor collections, and ensure timely monthly closure of outstanding cash invoices.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with VAT-related accounting entries and ZATCA compliance requirements.
- Support month-end closing procedures and preparation of financial reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Help maintain accurate financial data and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge of handling cash invoices and monthly closing processes.
- Familiarity with VAT accounting and ZATCA portal entries.
- Ability to assist with monthly financial closing activities and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an FMCG company will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is preferred.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
