Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Design Engineer (Civil / MEP) who enjoys turning ideas into practical, well-structured designs. If you have a strong eye for detail and enjoy working on construction and MEP projects from concept to completion, this role could be a great fit.
About the Role
In this position, you’ll be creating and refining designs that are not only technically sound but also efficient and cost-effective. You’ll work closely with different teams to make sure every design aligns with project goals and runs smoothly during execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating clear and accurate design drawings and layouts for civil and MEP projects
- Developing designs from initial concept through to detailed execution stages
- Making sure everything meets required standards, codes, and safety guidelines
- Reviewing BOQs and project documents to ensure design accuracy
- Working with architects, consultants, and project teams to finalize designs
- Performing basic design calculations and system planning
- Suggesting improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Supporting site teams with technical advice when needed
- Visiting project sites occasionally to ensure designs are implemented correctly
- Keeping all design files and updates well-organized
Tools & Skills You’ll Use
- AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and other design software
- Basic knowledge of BIM coordination is a plus
- Understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems (for MEP roles)
- Strong civil and structural design fundamentals (for Civil roles)
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in design engineering
- Good understanding of construction practices and design standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines comfortably
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
