Job Description
We are currently looking to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear Design and factory coordination.
We are searching for someone who not only understands electrical design but is also comfortable working closely with production teams to ensure everything runs smoothly from drawing board to final assembly. If you have hands-on LV switchgear experience and enjoy taking ownership of projects, this could be the right opportunity for you.
About the Role
In this position, you will handle the design and technical development of LV switchgear systems while also supporting factory operations. You will work alongside project teams, sales engineers, technicians, and clients to make sure all technical requirements are met accurately and on time.
This role requires a practical, solution-focused engineer who can manage both technical design responsibilities and on-ground coordination within the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Low Voltage switchgear systems and electrical panels
- Prepare single line diagrams, control wiring drawings, and general arrangement layouts
- Carry out load calculations, short circuit calculations, and busbar sizing
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD
- Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) for switchgear assemblies
- Review project specifications and ensure compliance with IEC standards
- Prepare shop drawings and support documentation for production
- Coordinate with the factory team to ensure proper assembly of panels
- Resolve technical issues that arise during manufacturing or site installation
- Respond to consultant and client comments on technical submissions
- Attend meetings with contractors, consultants, and customers for technical discussions
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and inspections when required
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in LV switchgear design and manufacturing
- Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD
- Good understanding of IEC standards and electrical codes
- Experience working with components such as ACBs, MCCBs, relays, busbars, and protection systems
- Ability to manage tasks independently while also working well within a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proactive attitude with good problem-solving ability
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
