Job Description
We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Electrician to join our team. This role is suitable for someone who has hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work, especially within construction sites or building maintenance environments.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with electrical wiring, lighting systems, power distribution, and electrical equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems are installed correctly, maintained properly, and repaired when issues arise.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should have a solid understanding of electrical systems and be able to follow safety procedures while completing their work efficiently.
Applicants must have more than two years of experience as an electrician and must currently hold a transferable visa.
About the Role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems used in construction or building operations. Your work will include tasks such as installing wiring, connecting electrical equipment, repairing faults, and performing routine maintenance to ensure that all electrical systems function safely and efficiently.
You may also be required to read electrical drawings, identify problems within electrical systems, and provide solutions that keep the site running smoothly. Working carefully and following safety standards will be an important part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, lighting systems, and power outlets
- Perform electrical installation work on construction or maintenance sites
- Identify and repair electrical faults or system failures
- Install and maintain switches, sockets, circuit breakers, and distribution boards
- Read and understand basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of electrical systems
- Ensure that all work follows electrical safety guidelines and site regulations
- Assist with testing and checking electrical systems after installation
- Maintain tools and materials required for electrical work
- Report any electrical risks or safety concerns to supervisors
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Electrician
- Experience in construction, building maintenance, or industrial electrical work
- Good understanding of electrical wiring, installation, and repair work
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings and diagrams
- Strong focus on workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively with team members on site
- Must currently hold a transferable visa
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on construction or building maintenance projects
- Familiarity with lighting installation and power distribution systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly
- Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
