Full-Time Engineering Procurement Manager Needed | Construction Industry Jobs
Job Description
We’re currently on the lookout for an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong engineering background to join our team. If you’ve spent years handling procurement for construction, infrastructure, or MEP projects and know how to balance cost, quality, and timelines, this could be a great fit.
In this role, you’ll be at the centre of procurement operations—working closely with project teams, suppliers, and management to make sure everything runs smoothly from sourcing to delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take ownership of the full procurement process, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently and delivered on time. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Planning and executing procurement strategies that support project timelines
- Managing the complete procurement cycle—from RFQs and supplier selection to negotiations and purchase orders
- Building strong relationships with reliable suppliers and subcontractors
- Negotiating contracts and pricing to get the best value without compromising quality
- Coordinating with engineering, project, and finance teams to keep everything aligned
- Monitoring budgets and keeping procurement costs under control
- Making sure materials and equipment are delivered on schedule to avoid project delays
- Evaluating supplier performance and improving procurement processes where needed
- Keeping everything compliant with company policies and industry standards
- Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and handling them proactively
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and practical knowledge to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar)
- 10–15 years of hands-on procurement experience in construction, infrastructure, or MEP projects
- Strong understanding of vendor management, contract negotiation, and sourcing strategies
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar tools
- Solid leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with confidence
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience working in GCC or international project environments
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts
- Certifications like CIPS, PMP, or similar
