Job Description
We’re currently looking for a passionate and experienced Environmental Officer to join our team. If you care about sustainability, enjoy working on real-world projects, and want to make a meaningful impact, this could be the right opportunity for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll play a key part in making sure our projects follow environmental standards and best practices. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring site activities to ensure full environmental and HSE compliance
- Carrying out site inspections, audits, and environmental assessments
- Preparing and implementing Environmental Management Plans (EMP)
- Identifying risks and suggesting practical solutions to reduce environmental impact
- Tracking environmental factors like air, water, and soil quality
- Preparing clear and accurate reports and documentation
- Working closely with engineers, project teams, and contractors
- Promoting sustainability awareness across the workplace
- Supporting incident investigations and ensuring preventive actions are in place
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is not just qualified, but also committed and proactive.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in environmental or HSE roles
- Good understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, EIA, and sustainability practices
- Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
Added Advantages
- Certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of waste management and pollution control practices
