Full-Time MEP Draftsman Job | AutoCAD HVAC Plumbing Electrical
Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled and dependable MEP Draftsman to join our team. If you enjoy working with drawings, paying attention to detail, and turning design ideas into practical plans, this could be a great opportunity for you.
In this role, you’ll be working closely with engineers and site teams to prepare clear and accurate MEP drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Your work will help ensure everything on site runs smoothly and fits together exactly as planned.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Create detailed 2D MEP drawings using AutoCAD for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Prepare layouts for:
- Ducting and ventilation systems
- Piping systems (CHW, plumbing, drainage)
- Cable trays, lighting, and power layouts
- Turn design drawings into clear, ready-to-use shop drawings for construction
- Make updates to drawings based on engineer feedback and site changes
- Coordinate your drawings with architectural and structural plans to avoid clashes
- Keep track of revisions and ensure all drawings are up to date and accurate
- Support site teams by providing clarifications and updated drawings when needed
- Prepare as-built drawings once the project is completed
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- Around 2–4 years of experience in MEP drafting
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (this is essential)
- Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Skills That Will Help You Succeed
- Ability to read and understand technical and construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills to work with engineers and site teams
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of how construction projects work
