Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Heavy Electrician to join our team for power plant electrical maintenance and installation work. This opportunity is suitable for professionals who have solid experience working with medium voltage (MV) electrical systems, cable termination, and cable glanding in industrial or power plant environments.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, cable installation, and troubleshooting electrical systems. You will play an important role in ensuring that electrical equipment and power distribution systems in the plant operate safely and efficiently.
This role is best suited for someone who is technically skilled, responsible, and comfortable working in heavy industrial or power plant environments.
About the Role
As a Heavy Electrician, you will be responsible for handling different electrical tasks related to power plant operations and maintenance. Your work will include installing cables, performing cable glanding and termination, and supporting maintenance activities to keep the electrical systems running smoothly.
You will work closely with maintenance teams to inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment. The role also requires identifying electrical issues and fixing them quickly to avoid interruptions in plant operations.
Candidates with experience in industrial plants, power plants, or large electrical maintenance projects will be highly preferred.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform cable glanding and cable termination for electrical systems
- Work on Medium Voltage (MV) electrical installations and maintenance
- Support electrical work related to power plant operations
- Carry out installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults in plant systems
- Assist in preventive maintenance and repair of electrical components
- Ensure that all electrical work is performed according to safety standards
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Electrician or Industrial Electrician
- Good experience in power plant electrical work or industrial maintenance
- Strong knowledge of cable glanding, cable termination, and cable installation
- Experience working with Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering accepted
- Must be available for immediate joining
