Job Description
We are currently looking for a skilled and hardworking Mason to join our team for construction and building projects. This role is a great opportunity for someone who has hands-on experience in brickwork, block work, plastering, and general masonry tasks and enjoys working on active construction sites.
The right candidate should be comfortable working with common building materials such as bricks, concrete blocks, cement, and mortar, and should be able to complete masonry work with care and accuracy. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works well with a team, and understands the importance of maintaining quality and safety on the job.
Applicants must have more than 2 years of experience in masonry work and should currently hold a transferable visa.
About the Role
As a Mason, you will play an important role in building and maintaining structures on construction sites. Your daily work will include tasks such as laying bricks and blocks, preparing cement mixtures, plastering surfaces, and repairing masonry structures.
You will work closely with supervisors and other construction workers to ensure that all masonry tasks are completed according to project requirements and within the scheduled timeline.
This role is best suited for someone who is reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay bricks and concrete blocks to build walls and other structures
- Prepare and apply cement mortar and plaster
- Repair or maintain existing masonry structures when required
- Ensure proper alignment, levelling, and finishing of masonry work
- Follow construction plans and site instructions
- Measure and cut materials accurately for building work
- Maintain clean and organized work areas on site
- Follow all site safety rules and guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Mason
- Experience with brickwork, block work, and plastering
- Basic understanding of construction tools and building materials
- Ability to follow site instructions and construction plans
- Physically fit and capable of working in construction environments
- Must have a transferable visa
