Job Description
We’re looking for a hands-on and well-organized Facilities Manager to take care of our warehouse, inventory, and overall facility operations. If you’re someone who pays close attention to detail, likes keeping things running smoothly, and can manage both stock and facilities confidently, this could be the right role for you.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping our warehouse organized, ensuring stock accuracy, and making sure the facility is clean, safe, and fully operational at all times. Your work will help reduce waste, prevent losses, and support smooth daily operations—especially in a food or production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Warehouse & Storage Management
- Organising raw materials, packaging, and finished goods properly
- Keeping storage areas clearly labelled, easy to access, and well maintained
- Making sure FIFO / FEFO practices are always followed
- Ensuring the warehouse stays clean, tidy, and compliant
Inventory & Stock Control
- Keeping accurate stock records using Excel or inventory systems
- Carrying out daily spot checks, weekly counts, and monthly reconciliations
- Investigating and reporting any stock differences immediately
Expiry, Waste & Loss Control
- Monitoring expiry dates and storage conditions
- Separating near-expiry, damaged, or non-compliant items
- Taking steps to reduce wastage, damage, and stock loss
- Alerting management early if there are any risks
Internal Stock Movement
- Controlling and recording stock issued to production
- Ensuring only approved quantities are released
- Tracking internal transfers and material usage
Facility & Maintenance Responsibilities
Facility & Equipment Care
- Making sure the factory and warehouse are always operational
- Regularly checking cold rooms, chillers, freezers, lighting, and plumbing
- Reporting any issues quickly and following up on repairs
Cleanliness, Hygiene & Safety
- Ensuring daily cleaning schedules are followed
- Maintaining hygiene standards required for food operations
- Coordinating pest control, waste removal, and sanitation
- Making sure health and safety rules are followed at all times
Contractors & Maintenance Coordination
- Working with external contractors for maintenance, cleaning, and pest control
- Supervising work quality and completion
- Keeping basic maintenance and facility records
Reporting & Communication
- Preparing regular updates on stock levels and facility condition
- Informing management of any operational issues or risks
- Supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory visits
