Full-Time Hiring Electrical Estimation Engineer – Gulf Experience Required
Job Description
We’re currently looking for an experienced Electrical Estimation Engineer to join our team and support large-scale MV/HV substation and renewable energy projects. If you have solid Gulf experience in electrical estimation and enjoy working on complex power and infrastructure tenders, this could be a great opportunity for you.
We’re seeking someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and confident handling the full tendering process from drawing review to final bid submission.
About the Role
As an Electrical Estimation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for substation and power projects. You’ll carefully review tender documents, analyze drawings, perform detailed quantity take-offs, and coordinate with vendors to obtain the best technical and commercial offers.
This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings in detail
- Preparing complete material take-offs based on project drawings
- Estimating costs for switchgear, transformers, control & protection systems, SAS, telecom systems, and HV/MV/LV cable works
- Calculating manpower requirements, productivity rates, plant, and equipment needs
- Estimating project duration, indirect costs, and overheads
- Identifying suitable local and international vendors
- Sending enquiries, reviewing quotations, and preparing price comparisons
- Participating in techno-commercial negotiations
- Attending client clarification meetings when required
- Supporting the preparation and submission of technical and commercial bids
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5–7 years of overall experience
- At least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimation Engineer in the Gulf region
- Strong experience in MV/HV substation projects
- Experience in renewable energy projects is an added advantage
- Good knowledge of switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and cable installations
- Ability to interpret complex drawings and tender specifications
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
