About the Role
As a Procurement Engineer, you will manage the procurement process for project materials and equipment, ensuring that all purchases meet project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
Your work will involve identifying reliable suppliers, requesting quotations, reviewing vendor proposals, and negotiating prices to achieve the best value for the project. You will also prepare purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure that materials arrive at the project site on schedule.
The role requires regular coordination with engineering teams and project staff to understand material requirements and ensure that procurement activities support the overall progress of the project.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement process for project materials and equipment
- Prepare and process purchase orders based on project requirements
- Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors
- Negotiate prices and terms to ensure competitive purchasing and cost efficiency
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand material needs
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project locations
- Maintain clear and accurate procurement records, supplier details, and purchase documentation
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality and delivery standards are maintained
- Assist with procurement planning and project budgeting
- Resolve procurement issues such as delivery delays or supply shortages
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and suppliers
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles
- Experience working with construction companies or project-based procurement
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience managing purchase orders and project material supply
- Good knowledge of computer applications and procurement systems
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work with multiple teams and manage procurement schedules effectively
Preferred Experience
Candidates with the following experience will have an advantage:
- Procurement experience in construction or engineering projects
- Familiarity with construction materials and equipment sourcing
- Experience working with multiple vendors across different project phases
- Knowledge of project procurement planning and cost control
