Full-Time Hiring Steel Estimation Engineer for Metal and Structural Projects
Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a capable and detail-focused Steel Works Estimation & Site Engineer to join our team. If you’ve worked on metal works and structural steel projects—especially things like handrails, balustrades, ladders, or custom steel fabrication—this could be a great fit for you.
In this role, you’ll be involved from the early estimation stage all the way through to site execution. Your work will directly impact how efficiently projects are planned, priced, and delivered.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing clear and accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for steel and metal works
- Taking quantities from shop drawings and IFC drawings with precision
- Converting materials into weight (kg/ton) to ensure correct pricing
- Reviewing drawings and project specs to fully understand the scope
- Putting together quotations and cost estimates for clients and tenders
- Working closely with workshop teams and site staff to keep things on track
- Factoring in material wastage, fabrication costs, and installation requirements
- Supporting site activities and making sure work is progressing as planned
- Assisting with cost control, variations, and project documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in steel works estimation, quantity surveying, or metal fabrication projects
- Good understanding of BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation
- Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for calculations and reporting
- Experience in the Saudi market is a strong advantage
- Someone who can communicate well and coordinate with different teams
It’s a Plus If You Have
- Experience working on handrails, glass railings, balustrades, staircases, or custom metal works
- Knowledge of materials like SS304, SS316, mild steel (MS), and different coatings
- Understanding of fabrication processes, surface finishes, and installation methods
- Exposure to both workshop production and on-site execution
