About the Role
The HSE Officer helps ensure that all workplace activities are carried out safely and responsibly. In this role, you will regularly monitor site operations, check that safety procedures are being followed, and make sure that workers are using the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
You will also conduct routine safety inspections, identify potential risks, and work with supervisors and managers to correct unsafe conditions. Another important part of the role is supporting employees by providing safety guidance, conducting toolbox talks, and promoting awareness about safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and hazard assessments

- Ensure workers use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks to employees
- Investigate workplace incidents or near-miss events and prepare safety reports
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and HSE documentation
- Support the implementation of company safety policies and procedures
- Work with supervisors and teams to improve overall workplace safety
Daily Activities
On a typical day, the HSE Officer may:
- Inspect work areas to ensure they meet safety standards
- Review safety documents and work permits
- Monitor workers to ensure safe work practices are followed
- Provide guidance to employees regarding safety procedures
- Report safety concerns or improvements to management
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an HSE Officer or Safety Officer
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Experience in risk assessment, safety inspections, and incident reporting
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with teams in active work environments
- Relevant HSE or safety certification will be an advantage
