Job Description
We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support ongoing MEP and construction projects. This role is well suited for professionals who have practical experience working on electrical and mechanical installations, construction site supervision, and EPC project environments.
As an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in coordinating both electrical and mechanical works on-site, making sure that installations are carried out correctly, safely, and according to project requirements. The role requires someone who can comfortably read engineering drawings, manage site activities, and work closely with different teams to keep the project moving forward.

About the Role
In this role, you will help manage and coordinate electrical and mechanical engineering works on construction sites. Your work will include preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), reviewing technical drawings, supervising installations, and ensuring that all systems are installed according to project specifications.
You will also be responsible for supporting material planning, site coordination, progress monitoring, and testing and commissioning activities. The position requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers.
This role is ideal for engineers who have experience with electrical distribution systems, HVAC installations, plumbing and piping networks, firefighting systems, and mechanical equipment installations within construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
BOQ Preparation and Quantity Take-Off
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for electrical and mechanical works
- Perform quantity take-offs based on engineering drawings and project specifications
- Assist the project team with planning materials and estimating quantities required for site execution
Engineering Drawings and Technical Review
- Review and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, including layouts, SLDs, P&IDs, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure all site work follows the approved drawings and design requirements
- Coordinate with design teams whenever clarification is required
Electrical and Mechanical Installation
- Supervise and support installation of systems such as:
- Electrical power and lighting systems
- HVAC and ventilation systems
- Plumbing and piping networks
- Firefighting systems
- Mechanical equipment installations
- Ensure installations are completed according to engineering standards and project requirements
Site Coordination and Project Execution
- Support site preparation activities, including manpower planning and work sequencing
- Coordinate electrical and mechanical works to prevent clashes between services
- Work closely with contractors and project teams to ensure smooth site operations
Site Supervision and Quality Control
- Monitor daily site activities related to electrical and mechanical works
- Ensure that work is carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards
- Check workmanship and ensure installations meet project expectations
Material Planning and Procurement Support
- Prepare material requests and specifications for project requirements
- Assist procurement teams in identifying and sourcing required materials
Testing, Commissioning, and Project Handover
- Support testing and commissioning activities for electrical and mechanical systems
- Assist with inspections and documentation required for project completion and system handover
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare site reports and progress updates
- Track project progress and assist with as-built documentation
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure that all activities follow HSE guidelines and safety procedures
- Promote safe work practices across the project site
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- 3–6 years of experience in electro-mechanical or MEP construction projects
- Experience preparing BOQ and performing quantity take-offs
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in construction projects
- Practical experience in site supervision and project execution
- Familiarity with engineering standards and construction codes
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred
Preferred Skills
Candidates with the following experience will have an advantage:
- Experience working on MEP, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning of building systems
- Ability to manage multiple engineering activities on-site independently
- Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities within project teams
