Job Description
We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to become part of our growing team in Bahrain.
This role is perfect for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of freight forwarding and logistics operations and can confidently handle accounting responsibilities related to import/export activities, shipping documentation, customer accounts, and financial coordination.
As an Accounts Executive, you will work closely with our operations, import/export, and management teams to ensure smooth financial processes and timely transactions. Candidates with previous experience in Freight Forwarding, NVOCC operations, and logistics accounting will be highly preferred.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities related to freight forwarding and shipping operations.
- Handle financial transactions connected with import/export brokerage and container storage yard activities.
- Maintain organized records for customer transactions, invoices, payments, and shipping-related documents.
- Coordinate with the Import & Export department to ensure timely collection of payments from shippers and consignees.
- Process timely payments for Import & Export THC charges and other port-related expenses.
- Prepare Statements of Accounts (SOA) and assist with payment reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers professionally.
- Ensure invoices and billing are prepared accurately and submitted on time.
- Support management with reports, account updates, and financial documentation.
- Visit clients along with the General Manager or Sales Executive whenever required.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as part of daily operations.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, or NVOCC accounting is required.
- Good working knowledge of Tally ERP and freight forwarding software systems.
- Understanding of shipping procedures, import/export documentation, and logistics operations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting practices will be an advantage.
