Job Description
We are currently looking to hire an experienced Procurement Officer to support its purchasing and supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience in procurement, vendor management, and logistics coordination, and who understands how important timely and cost-effective purchasing is to successful project delivery.
As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the entire procurement process — from identifying suppliers and requesting quotations to negotiating prices and issuing purchase orders. You will also help coordinate the movement of materials and equipment to ensure that project teams receive what they need, when they need it.
This position requires a professional who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with suppliers, project teams, and logistics partners. About the Role
In this role, you will oversee procurement activities that support day-to-day operations and project requirements. Your responsibilities will include sourcing reliable suppliers, evaluating quotations, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring that all purchases follow company procedures.
You will also coordinate logistics activities, including both local and international shipments, to ensure that materials arrive at project sites on time. Managing import and export documentation, arranging freight, and supporting customs clearance processes will also be part of your responsibilities.
The Procurement Officer works closely with internal departments and suppliers to maintain smooth procurement operations while ensuring that budgets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full procurement process including supplier sourcing, RFQs, negotiations, and purchase orders
- Identify reliable suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
- Coordinate local and international logistics activities for shipments and deliveries
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure materials arrive at project sites on time
- Handle import and export documentation, customs clearance, and freight coordination
- Track procurement expenses and help maintain cost control and budget awareness
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and logistics documentation
- Work closely with project teams to ensure procurement activities support project timelines
- Prepare procurement and logistics reports when required
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region
- Strong understanding of local supplier markets and logistics processes
- Experience handling supplier negotiations, procurement planning, and purchase management
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and freight coordination
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple procurement tasks
- Proficiency in ERP / Fluto systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid Saudi driving license is preferred
