Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our construction team in Saudi Arabia. If you know the local construction market well, enjoy working with suppliers and subcontractors, and can manage procurement activities from start to finish, this could be a great opportunity for you.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll handle the full procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted works. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to make sure everything is sourced on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Procurement & Sourcing
- Manage purchasing for materials, equipment, and subcontract packages
- Source and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors across civil, architectural, MEP, façade, finishing, and specialist trades
- Keep the approved supplier and subcontractor database updated
- Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents
Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Review technical and commercial offers and prepare comparison sheets
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts
- Handle subcontractor prequalification and onboarding
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or commercial issues
Contracts & Compliance
- Support contract preparation with legal and contracts teams
- Ensure all procurement activities follow Saudi regulations and company policies
- Check supplier documents such as CR, VAT, ZATCA, Saudization, and national address
Project Coordination
- Work with project teams to align procurement schedules with site timelines
- Track material deliveries and subcontractor mobilization
- Support cost-saving and value engineering initiatives without affecting quality
Reporting & Systems
- Prepare procurement reports, cost summaries, and schedules
- Maintain purchase orders and contracts in ERP systems
- Support audits and management reviews when needed
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of procurement experience in the Saudi construction industry
- Strong hands-on experience dealing with construction suppliers and subcontractors
- Experience in building, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Good understanding of Saudi market pricing and subcontractor landscape
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Fluent in Arabic and confident in English
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks in fast-paced projects
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Added Advantage
- Existing network of suppliers and subcontractors in KSA
- Experience with main contractors or large developers
- Exposure to major government or large-scale projects
- Strong people and stakeholder management skills
