Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a skilled and dependable Project Control Engineer who knows how to keep projects on track—from planning and scheduling to cost control and performance monitoring. If you enjoy working with data, solving problems, and making sure projects run smoothly from start to finish, this could be a great fit for you.
In this role, you’ll work closely with project managers and engineering teams, helping them stay aligned with timelines, budgets, and overall project goals. Your input will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and successfully.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Create and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Keep a close eye on project costs, including budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
- Track day-to-day progress and flag any risks or delays early on
- Analyse schedule and cost performance, and suggest practical solutions when things shift
- Prepare clear and easy-to-understand weekly and monthly reports for management
- Set up baseline schedules with proper resource and cost planning
- Compare actual project costs with planned budgets to maintain control
- Carry out Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to measure project performance
- Support variation orders, claims, and any project changes that arise
- Help develop recovery plans if timelines are impacted
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess overall project health
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Around 3–7 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or cost control
- Solid understanding of project control processes and performance tracking
- Hands-on experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Good working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Someone who can communicate clearly and manage multiple tasks with confidence
- Experience working on projects in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia is a plus
