Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our growing construction and fit-out team in the UAE. If you have a strong background in project cost management, budgeting, BOQ analysis, and construction reporting, this could be an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a professional and fast-paced organization.
The ideal candidate should be capable of handling project costs efficiently, supporting project planning activities, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and timeline requirements. Experience in construction or interior fit-out projects within the UAE or GCC region will be highly valued.
As a Cost Control Engineer, you will work closely with project managers, site teams, procurement departments, and finance teams to maintain accurate project cost tracking and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project costs and ensure expenses remain within approved budgets
- Prepare detailed cost reports, budget updates, and financial forecasts
- Track project progress and identify possible delays or cost overruns
- Support monthly progress billing and payment application processes
- Review BOQ, subcontractor quotations, material costs, and variation claims
- Coordinate with project and site teams to collect accurate progress data
- Assist management with project planning, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting for all project-related costs
- Support procurement and commercial teams with cost evaluations and tracking
- Ensure accurate cost allocation and financial control across projects
Requirements:
- Preferred Indian candidates
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
- 4 to 5 years of experience in construction or interior fit-out projects
- Good knowledge of cost control procedures, budgeting, and project reporting
- Strong understanding of BOQ, progress measurement, and project cost analysis
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project is an added advantage
- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project deadlines
