About the Role
In this position, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects from start to finish. This includes organizing project plans, coordinating with different teams, managing resources, and ensuring that work is completed within the agreed timeline and budget.
You will regularly monitor the progress of construction activities, review project schedules, and ensure that the work being carried out meets both company expectations and industry standards. Clear communication with team members and stakeholders will be an important part of this role, as it helps ensure that everyone involved in the project stays aligned.
Another important part of the role is identifying potential risks or delays and finding practical solutions to keep the project on track. Your leadership will help maintain a productive and organized work environment across the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise construction projects from beginning to completion
- Develop and manage project schedules, timelines, and work plans
- Monitor and control project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation
- Work closely with engineers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure that all construction work follows project specifications, safety rules, and quality standards
- Track project progress and provide clear updates to senior management
- Identify potential project risks, delays, or technical issues and implement effective solutions
- Oversee daily construction site activities and team coordination
- Maintain strong communication between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure that all work follows local construction regulations and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role
- Solid understanding of construction planning, budgeting, and site operations
- Experience managing construction teams and coordinating with contractors and consultants
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while meeting project deadlines
Preferred Knowledge
Candidates with the following experience will have an added advantage:
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
- Experience working on large construction or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of risk management and project cost control
