Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Estimation Engineer to join our team in Qatar.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on complex construction projects and has strong expertise in cost estimation, tender preparation, quantity take-offs, and project budgeting. You will play a key role in helping our organization prepare accurate project estimates and submit competitive bids for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure developments.
Experience Required
5–7 years of experience in civil estimation and tendering within the construction industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- UPDA Grade “C” or higher is preferred
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and project costing
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing tender documents, drawings, and project specifications to understand project requirements.
- Preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project budgets.
- Developing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material cost analyses.
- Requesting and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Preparing technical and commercial tender submissions and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Identifying opportunities to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Estimating material, labour, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and consultants throughout the bidding process.
- Participating in site visits and pre-bid meetings whenever required.
- Maintaining updated pricing databases and preparing estimation reports for management.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in civil estimation, tendering, and construction cost management.
- Experience working on commercial buildings, residential projects, industrial facilities, warehouses, and infrastructure developments.
- Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and perform effectively under deadlines.
- A proactive and team-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
