Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”), you have rights over the personal data that JOBB GROUP FZE holds about you. This page explains those rights and lets you submit a request securely. Submitting a request is free of charge.
1. Your rights
- Access: obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data and a copy of it, together with information about how it is used.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data where it is no longer needed, where you withdraw consent, or where it was processed unlawfully — subject to legal retention obligations.
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data, for example while we check its accuracy.
- Objection: object to processing for direct marketing or profiling, or where we rely on our legitimate interests.
- Portability: receive data you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or ask us to transfer it to another controller where technically feasible.
- Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out.
2. Submit a request
Use the secure form below. Your request is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in a restricted area of our systems that only authorised staff can access. You can also email support@jobb.ae with the subject line “Data subject request”.
3. Identity verification
To protect your data, we must be confident that a request comes from the person the data relates to, or from someone authorised to act for them. We will usually verify your identity by replying to the email address we hold for you. Where that is not enough, we may ask for limited additional information. We will only use verification information for that purpose and delete it once the request is closed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
If you are acting for someone else, we will ask for evidence of your authority, such as a signed letter of authorisation.
4. Response timeline
- Acknowledgement: we aim to acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
- Response: we aim to respond in full within 30 days of verifying your identity.
- Extensions: for complex or multiple requests we may need longer; if so, we will tell you why and when to expect a response.
5. When we may decline a request
We may decline or limit a request where it is manifestly unfounded or excessive, where we cannot verify your identity, where fulfilling it would affect the rights of others, or where we must keep data to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If we decline, we will explain why.
6. If you are not satisfied
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or another competent authority.
