Job Description
We’re currently on the lookout for a talented AutoCAD Draughtsman who enjoys turning ideas into clear, accurate drawings that bring projects to life. If you have hands-on experience in construction drawings, architectural drafting, or engineering design, and you take pride in precision and quality, this could be the right opportunity for you.
You’ll be working closely with engineers, architects, and project teams, contributing to a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects, while building your expertise in CAD drafting and design coordination.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design & Drafting
- Create detailed AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and technical plans based on project requirements
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and fabrication details
- Work on both 2D and basic 3D drawings when needed
- Carefully interpret project specs, sketches, and BOQs into accurate drawings
- Make updates and revisions as projects evolve
Working with the Team
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure everything is aligned
- Communicate with site teams to clarify drawings and resolve issues
- Join meetings when needed to review designs and make improvements
- Help solve design challenges by adjusting drawings quickly and accurately
Keeping Things Organized
- Maintain well-structured records of drawings, revisions, and documents
- Ensure all drawings meet required standards, codes, and regulations
- Prepare documents for submissions, approvals, and project handovers
Quality & Accuracy
- Double-check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, and completeness
- Make sure all work is delivered on time without compromising quality
- Support smooth project execution by providing clear and reliable drawings
What We’re Looking For
- A Degree or Diploma in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Solid experience working as an AutoCAD Draughtsman or CAD Designer, preferably in construction
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (2D is essential; 3D is a plus)
- Familiarity with tools like Revit or SketchUp will be an advantage
- Good understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, and site requirements
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work
- Ability to manage your time, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
