About the Role
As a Design Engineer, your main responsibility will be to develop and review designs related to thermal systems and heat transfer equipment. You will carry out technical calculations, analyse system performance, and make sure that all designs meet the required engineering standards and project specifications.
You will also collaborate with different engineering disciplines, helping ensure that the overall design of the project runs smoothly. Attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and a clear understanding of thermal processes will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thermal design calculations and heat transfer analysis
- Prepare and review engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and client requirements
- Apply knowledge of Saudi Aramco specifications where required
- Work closely with engineering teams to improve system performance and efficiency
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
- Provide technical support during different phases of the project
- Maintain clear and organized engineering reports and documentation
- Ensure all work follows quality standards and safety guidelines
Technical Competencies
- Good understanding of engineering codes, standards, and client specifications
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco engineering standards
- Strong knowledge of thermal design processes and engineering materials
- Experience using engineering tools and software such as:
- HTRI software
- Microsoft Office applications
- Internet-based technical resources
- AI-based engineering tools where applicable
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Sc. / B.Tech)
- Preference for candidates with a background in Chemical Engineering or Thermal Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 15–20 years of experience in thermal design or heat transfer engineering
- Experience working on industrial or oil and gas projects
- Experience with Saudi Aramco projects is highly preferred
- Familiarity with ISO-9001 Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of industry quality control procedures and safety standards
