Full-Time Engineering Careers: Scaffolding Design Specialist Needed
Job Description
We’re looking for a Scaffolding Design Engineer who can bring practical knowledge, technical expertise, and a strong focus on safety to our construction projects.
In this role, you’ll be working on designing and reviewing temporary works systems like scaffolding, shoring, and formwork—making sure everything is not only efficient but also safe and fully compliant with industry standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and analysing scaffolding, formwork, and shoring systems to ensure structural safety and efficiency.
- Going through drawings and plans carefully to make sure everything can be executed smoothly on-site.
- Preparing calculation reports, design documents, and method statements for project approvals.
- Visiting sites when needed to carry out inspections, safety checks, and risk assessments.
- Supporting site teams by offering practical solutions to any structural or scaffolding-related challenges.
- Working closely with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to keep everything aligned.
- Making sure all designs meet safety standards, project requirements, and engineering codes.
- Looking for ways to optimize materials and reduce waste, without compromising on safety or quality.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction, with 2+ years focused on structural or scaffolding design.
- Hands-on experience in temporary works design and structural analysis.
- Good working knowledge of tools like SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, MIDAS, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and design regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus if you have experience with BIM tools or design coordination platforms
