We are currently looking for a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join their growing team in the plant maintenance division. As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring that maintenance activities are planned and executed smoothly while minimizing downtime and maintaining the highest safety standards.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Prepare detailed maintenance plans, timelines, manpower allocation, and material requirements.
- Coordinate closely with operations, maintenance, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and improve plant reliability.
- Manage maintenance work orders, planning reports, and tracking systems using SAP PM.
- Ensure all maintenance activities follow company procedures and safety regulations.
- Support shutdown and turnaround maintenance activities across plant operations.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, and progress updates.
- Assist in improving maintenance strategies and overall plant performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Diploma holders with relevant plant maintenance experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Certification in Planning & Scheduling (CPSP or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in maintenance planning, shutdown planning, or industrial plant maintenance is required.
- Good working knowledge of SAP PM systems.
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, manufacturing, or heavy industrial plants will be preferred.
- Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is considered a plus.
- Good communication skills in English. Arabic language skills are an advantage.
