Full-Time GCP Data Engineer Role in Jeddah | Machine Learning Focus
Job Description
We’re hiring a Data Engineer with AI experience to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, supporting projects focused on the Saudi capital markets (Tadawul Main Market and Nomo).
You’ll be working on real-world financial data, building scalable systems, and contributing to intelligent solutions that help drive business decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll take ownership of building and improving data systems from end to end. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using tools like Big Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Vertex AI
- Writing clean and efficient Python code to handle both real-time and batch data processing
- Creating ETL/ELT workflows to transform raw financial data into structured, usable formats
- Working with Cloud Functions and Cloud Run to build flexible, serverless data processes
- Developing and deploying machine learning models for forecasting trends and analysing market behaviour
- Preparing and refining data through feature engineering and pre-processing
- Connecting with external financial APIs and automating data collection
- Building dashboards and reports using Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to present insights clearly
- Ensuring data is accurate, secure, and well-governed using GCP tools
- Monitoring systems, fixing issues quickly, and improving overall performance
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is both technically strong and practical in their approach:
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in data engineering or AI/ML roles
- Strong skills in Python, SQL, Pandas, and NumPy
- Hands-on experience with GCP tools like Big Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Vertex AI
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows
- Ability to communicate clearly and manage tasks efficiently
- Experience working with financial or stock market data is a plus
Extra Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- Experience with real-time data systems or streaming pipelines
- Understanding of machine learning workflows (Mops)
- Knowledge of time-series analysis or financial forecasting
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
