Full-Time Hiring Estimation Engineer – Costing and Tendering Role
Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a motivated and detail-focused Estimation Engineer to join our fabrication team. If you have hands-on experience in steel fabrication and enjoy working with numbers, drawings, and project planning, this could be a great next step in your career.
In this role, you’ll be involved right from the early stages of a project—reviewing drawings, understanding requirements, and preparing accurate cost estimates. Your work will directly support the team in submitting competitive bids and winning projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing clear and accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project details carefully
- Calculating material quantities, labour costs, and overall project expenses
- Coordinating with the design, production, and procurement teams
- Collecting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Supporting tender submissions and pricing strategies
- Keeping records of past estimates for future reference
- Looking for practical ways to reduce costs without affecting quality
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 to 4 years of experience in steel fabrication estimation
- Good understanding of structural steel, fabrication methods, and costing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with confidence
- Comfortable using MS Excel, AutoCAD, or estimation tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
