Job Description
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer (SEC Approved) to join our team in Medina. If you have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices, especially within construction or electrical/utility projects, this is a great opportunity to be part of a professional and safety-driven work environment.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining high safety standards across site operations, ensuring compliance with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) requirements, and helping create a workplace where safety always comes first.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll play a key role in keeping the site safe and compliant. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Making sure all work activities follow SEC safety standards and HSE regulations
- Regularly inspecting the site to spot risks and prevent unsafe practices
- Preparing and implementing risk assessments, safety procedures, and method statements
- Monitoring high-risk tasks like electrical work, lifting operations, confined spaces, and working at height
- Conducting safety audits and inspections, and ensuring corrective actions are taken
- Investigating incidents and preparing clear, detailed reports
- Leading toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and emergency drills
- Ensuring proper use and availability of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Keeping all safety documents, permits, and records well-organized and up to date
- Working closely with engineers, supervisors, and project teams on safety matters
- Supporting a strong safety-first culture across the site
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Valid SEC Safety Officer Approval (mandatory)
- A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- At least 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in Saudi Arabia
- Solid understanding of HSE practices, risk assessment, and incident investigation
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification (preferred)
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Confidence to manage site safety independently and handle pressure
Added Advantages:
- Experience in electrical, power, or utility projects
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards
- Valid Saudi driving license
- Candidates available for immediate joining or local transfer
